Transformation for Veterans working in partnership with Golden Gates Housing Trust for £10.6m support project

Transformation for Veterans (T4V) is now working as part of the Building Better Opportunities funded project ’New Leaf’ to help get people furthest away from the labour market into work.

Building Better Opportunities is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund.

Directed by Golden Gates Housing Trust (GGHT), New Leaf will help support around 3,000 people in Warrington and Cheshire over a three year period with a £10.6m grant from the Building Better Opportunities programme.

It is designed to upskill local people, make them work ready, attractive to employers and better able to access the opportunities that the region offers.

The funding, secured by GGHT, is through the Building Better Opportunities programme, a key part of the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership’s (LEP) European Funding Programme. The scheme sees the Big Lottery Fund matching funds from European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020, to provide joint investment in local projects that tackle poverty and promote social inclusion.

Joe O’Connor, Founder and CEO of T4V, said, “I’m pleased Transformation for Veterans has been involved with this project from the start and I know this can make a massive difference to the lives of veterans and their families in our community.

“It is therefore important that we spread the word as effectively as possible to ensure all those who can benefit from this program are aware of its existence and get involved now.”

T4V aims to create a brighter future for veterans by getting them back into the workplace. Visit our website (linked below) for more information.
