I have been writing my blogs now for almost a year and readership has increased exponentially. So let me ask you, dear reader…
What do you make of them?
Do they resonate with you and make sense on some level?
What do you do afterwards?
What I mean is … How do they make you feel and do you take on board some of the content and look at ways to implement some new ways of thinking and being into your life? Or do you read it and move on?
Do you say to yourself: “That’s all very well, but it doesn’t apply to me”…?
I get this in my seminars – people come and attend and I can see that they have enjoyed the day, even found the content interesting. Yet when I speak to them afterwards and ask, “how they are going to do things differently afterwards”, there is a tendency for some to say that thing: “That’s all very well, but it doesn’t apply to me”.
Guess what?
It does!
It absolutely applies to you.
It applies to each and every one of us to take responsibility for ourselves and our lives. It might come as a huge disappointment to some people, but if you are waiting for something to happen or waiting for someone to do something that will change your circumstances and magically turn your life into the one that you have always dreamt of – you will have a long wait.
No one is coming.
There is only one person capable of turning your life into that ‘dream’ life where everyone and everything works just how you would want it to – and that person is you.
Earlier this month my wife took our dog to the vets for his regular check up. My dog is almost 12 years old.
The vet was delighted with our dog’s progress and likened his health to that of a four year old dog in good condition.
We look after our dog; we make sure he is fed with the most nutritious food available to him and he gets regular exercise. He is part of our family and we treat him as such, getting lots of affection, care and playtime. We make sure his environment is suitable for him. All of these are essential for his wellbeing, not just physically but emotionally. Dogs have feelings too!
The way dogs’ age is fascinating to me. Every human year of our life is equal to seven of his dog years; it is like seeing a human life span accelerated. I believe when you own a dog they are a perfect reflection of what you are and how you live your life.
Let me ask you, if I may?
How does your dog look?
If you don’t have a dog, imagine that you do – and that it is a reflection of you. How would it look?
Taking my dog……at 12 years old he is now 84 in dog years.
If you were to carry on living your current lifestyle, how would you look at 84 years old?
It is always worth reflecting on questions like this. If the answers are not what you would like, stay with them. Don’t shy away because they feel uncomfortable, face up to them.
It is never too late to start making adjustments that would help you reach 84 years in tip top condition.
Physical and mental wellbeing is accessible to us all. The only thing that stands in our way is believing that is available and possible in the first place.
It always starts with YOU, and I can help. While it is up to YOU to make a decision and commitment to change, I will be there to guide and support you.
So let me ask you, dear reader…
What do you make of this?
Does this resonate with you and make sense on some level?
What will you do now?
What I mean is … will you take on board some of the content and look at ways to implement some new ways of thinking and being into your life? Or will you read this and move on?
Are you prepared to take massive action and do whatever it takes to improve your life now. The choice is yours. Make the right one and see how you are at age 84 years young.
The choice is always there.
